Reflection Assignments are designed to encourage you to write reflectively about what you are learning and to explore ideas more deeply. These assignments also provide an opportunity to think about the future you want to create for yourself and how best to apply the knowledge you have gained in a way that will enable you to accomplish your goals. As you answer 5 questions below, make sure you always type each question before your answer. If you fail to type each question out, you will lose unnecessary points.
The world has become increasingly complex, uncertain, and resource constrained. Entrepreneurship in today's’ economy means the creation of new opportunities in an environment characterized by a high degree of complexity and uncertainty. Whether you desire to start a business or not, developing entrepreneurial competencies by cultivating an entrepreneurial mindset will lead to greater life and professional success. The ability to choose the way we respond to our circumstances is fundamental to an entrepreneurial mindset.
Assignment: Reflect on the following questions:
What are the most important choices you have made in your life? How did your circumstances and mindset influence these choices?
What choices do you need to make to succeed in the future (personally, academically and professionally)? How will these choices determine your success?
What do you need to do more of? What do you need to do less of?
What do you need to start doing? What do you need to stop doing?
Discuss what the difference is between and external and internal locus of control? Which do you have?
Your reflection should demonstrate evidence of in-depth reflective thinking. Your viewpoints and interpretations should be insightful and supported with clear examples from the textbook, the videos and your own experiences.
Please note that all written assignments should be completed using Microsoft Word . If you do not own a copy of Microsoft Office 365 that includes Microsoft Word, Excel and other applications, go to HawkNet and then the "student intranet." You will find a link to Office 365 there.
Can't change a rubric once you've started using it.
