Technology used in this course
Canvas is the supported learning management system used at HCC. Canvas tools used in this course include Discussions, Assignments, Announcements, and Grades. Web-based content and YouTube videos are also included.
Required Technical Skills and Equipment
You need to have regular/daily access to a computer or tablet. (Do not attempt to complete this course using a phone.) You need to be proficient in basic word processing skills, Internet searching, sending email communication, and following digital prompts to complete tasks. This course uses Adobe Reader (Links to an external site.) for pdf document access. Also, HCC provides Microsoft 365 and Microsoft Office 2016 for free to students. Follow these instructions (Links to an external site.) to download Microsoft 365.
Chrome or Firefox are the desired browsers for accessing Canvas. Internet Explorer is not recommended.
