Course Purpose, Overview and Instructional Methods
The purpose of this course is to develop entrepreneurial competence, and learn about the business modeling and development process. This course will help you to develop an entrepreneurial mindset, and enable you to take action Link on an existing business or business idea.
This course is one of the required courses in our entrepreneurship degree programs. NOTE: There are no pre-requisites for this course, however the course does require college level reading and math.
This course will be useful for anyone, whether or not they have had prior business or entrepreneurial experience. The course explores the characteristics of the entrepreneurial mind and the environment in which these ventures succeed. The course provides self-assessment of the skills and commitment necessary to successfully start and operate an entrepreneurial venture.
The instructional methods and types of activities used in this course include field research that will require you to conduct interviews, discussions, small group activities, written assignments, team or individual projects, web-based interactions, and case studies.
